The Canary Community

A Safe space for those sensitive canaries

The Canary Community is a place for the sensitive & those looking to reconnect with a non-toxic lifestyle. Started by Rachel Riley & co-run by local Dallas RN’s Cate White and Judith Ackerman , The Canary Community offers Ozone Therapy, IV Infusions, Ozone IVs, Ion Detox Baths, Supplemental Protocols, and more!

Why The Canary Community?

Ever heard of the phrase “The canary in the coal mine”? If not, the canaries were more susceptible to toxic gases such as carbon monoxide. The canaries warned miners by growing more distressed when the gas levels were rising too high, allowing the human miners to escape safely, which ended up sparing many lives. Hence the phrase, “like a canary in a coal mine”. This is used to indicate a whistleblower or indicator of danger. I, Rachel Riley-founder/CEO of The Canary Community, have always been extremely sensitive to toxic smells, food, cleaning supplies, ingredients that went on, in, or around my body. So, I was told by many healthcare providers that I was the canary in the coal mine. I would present with symptoms WAY sooner than anyone around me. I use to think it was a curse, but now I see it as a blessing. Your body speaks to you when it doesn’t like something, we as humans just choose to ignore it. This is how The Canary Community was born! I welcome all canaries, like myself and non-canaries to this community to join in on a healing journey together!

Meet Rachel Riley

our Founder

Growing up in a family-owned Chiropractic practice, Rachel’s passion for the human body started at an early age. Amidst receiving a degree in Psychology & attending Medical School at the University Of Medicine and Health Sciences, Rachel became mysteriously and irrevocably ill. After years of tests and experimental treatments, Rachel shifted her day-to-day actions to support a nontoxic lifestyle. A defining moment that transformed her life as well as her career, Rachel brought years of extensive research to the table as she explored treatments, protocols, products & daily habits that have eradicated life-threatening symptoms and shifted her into a sustainable lifestyle that supported both her and her newborn son’s health and future.

Now, Rachel’s practice defines healing as finding the root cause and addressing that cause; working hand-in-hand with fellow care providers. The Canary Community offers detoxing services that support a proactive and preventative approach. Rachel’s mission within The Canary Community is to offer a safe and empathetic space that makes all who enter feel seen and heard. She is enthusiastic to share the services and knowledge that she has gained through her own personal experiences, research and medical training. Walking her talk, Rachel commits daily to defining lifestyle choices that support detoxing and avoiding toxic materials.

Meet Cate White

our RN

Cate grew up in Southern California and came to Fort Worth, TX to attend Texas Christian University. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and moved to Dallas to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. For seven years, Cate worked with the smallest and most vulnerable patients in the hospital. Her passion was serving the parents and their child to successfully bring their newborn home. Cate transitioned from the hospital settings and joined the Canary Community over a year ago and has throughly enjoyed the holistic healthcare setting. She’s been an amazing addition to The Canary Community family. Cate enjoys spending time with her husband, baby, and toddler son. She is currently working on perfecting her sourdough bread recipe.

Meet Sara McKean

our RN

Sara grew up in the Dallas area and went to nursing school in East Texas. Coming from a family of Nurses, she knew from a young age that she wanted to go into Nursing. After two family members were diagnosed with cancer, she found her calling. For thirteen years, Sara has been an Oncology Nurse, infusing chemotherapy and providing support to her treasured patients. Still working with cancer patients weekly, she has brought a holistic approach to her care, offering education and resources. Sara attributes her holistic approach to her Mom, who incorporated a natural environment in their household growing up with both American and Persian cultures. Sara enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, three dogs and one cat. She enjoys traveling domestic and abroad and dreams of living in Italy someday.

What our clients say

First and foremost, Rachel and Cate of The Canary Community are absolute sweethearts. Second.. the moment you walk into the building you're hit with a refreshing energy, the place is spotless and smells amazing. I did the detox foot bath, which was about 30 minutes long. I enjoyed learning more about my body in a natural, holistic way. Rachel is full of valuable information and you can tell she is genuinely interested in providing valuable tools and products to assist you through your healing process. I am so grateful to have come across this community, the people of Dallas need more of these practices incorpoated into their routines! I just left and I am already excited to go back for my second foot bath!

The Canary Community space is such a calming and relaxing experience. I loved my very first Ion Detox Foot Bath and Ozone Ear Insufflation Therapy for my sinus infection that I could feel coming! It definitely helped clear my sinuses within a few days, rather than a few weeks!! Rachel is very knowledgeable, mindful, and thorough with each service they provide. I can't wait to go back for more detoxes and experience the IV infusions!! 10 STARS!

My first time getting an infusion therapy was great at Canary Community in Oak Cliff Dallas.Got a Myers Cocktail. Felt extra hydrated and baseline energy increase for days!
